Last month Sean Barnes, the MK Youth MP (and Astwood lad) successfully argued in the House of Commons in favour of lowering the voting age to 16 in the Votes@16 Youth Parliament Debate.

Sean said: "If MPs are serious about reforming and cleaning up the UK's politics, they will take a step in the right direction and lower the voting age to 16"

Cllr Sam Potts says:"If you can join the armed forces at 16, then you should be able to vote at 16."
