Games Unit in North Crawley

7.10.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 5th Aug 2009

Cllr Sam Potts has congratulated North Crawley Youth Group who have secured over £30,000 of grant money to pay for a Multi-User Games Unit.

The proposal is that the unit will be on the Rec and will have 5-aside football, netball and other games that can be played in the area.

As the unit is fenced it will mean that balls will not be going into the gardens of Kilpin Green - a long standing problem resolved. The youngsters have consulted every household in the parish, and now the consultation period has closed and the committee report that there have been no adverse comments about the games unit.

Cllr. Sam Potts (who grew up in North Crawley) said: "This is absolutely fantastic. Youngsters will be able to go and play park ball games and Kilpin Green residents will not be disturbed with balls going into their gardens."
