11.28.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Sun 29th Mar 2009

Chicheley:

After a number of meetings, phone calls and pressure Development Control have eventually agreed to the necessary changes to Chicheley Hall which will mean that the Royal Society can make it their home - this is huge for the area and will bring many jobs to the local communities.

Thanks to the many people who have spoken to me about the issue of car parking - I am looking at funding and have had many senior council officers out to look at the site including the Chief Executive.

Speeding will also be looked into as a priority.

Lavendon:

I spoke against the Romany Gypsy site planning application

Emberton:

Pot holes and verges have all been reported - no more news on the wind farm

Filgrave and Tyringham:

The verge and pot holes will be done and the long term maintenance that was going to be done in 3 financial years will now be completed in two.

Gayhurst:

The Stoke Goldington to Gayhurst path will be lengthened due to increased due an increase in the Lib Dem budget.

Hardmead:

Speed limits will be looked into

Lathbury:

I have ask the Police not to park outside the old peoples home as it was causing a problem for people driving out of the Close.

Moulsoe:

Faulty Street light reported. I worked with the Parish Council and the Goal posts now fixed

North Crawley:

Faulty Phone box fixed,

Sherington:

I have written to the brewery objecting to the closure of the pub, dealt with lots of planning issues, and was involved in appointing a new local education governor to the School

Stoke Goldington:

The proposed wind turbines and flooding issues are currently receiving my attention,

and finally:

Expansion - The South East Plan which has been accepted by Government includes the Bucks Conservative view that we should build east of the M1. This has been strongly opposed by me and literally thousands of local residents. Thanks go to everyone who wrote in to object to the plan. We were told that we hear at the beginning of 2009 if the government was confirming the plan - we still have not heard anything, hopefully the government will change the plan.
