Some of the 100 Sherington Focus

The Liberal Democrat Focus Team has successfully campaigned for better services for the villages and and are still working to protect our villages by:

*Campaigning against the Bucks Conservative expansion plans for the east of the M1

*Insisting that the Minerals Local Plan did not include gravel extraction in our Ouse Valley Area of Attractive Landscape

*Supporting village schools

*Supporting Emberton's battle against the wind turbines

*Getting Sherington Mound off the ground, with Sherington PC and recently getting MK Council to improve the car park and put in the steps and hand rail

*Getting flood prevention works built at Stoke Goldington

*Helping Sherington's White Hart to remain a pub

*Helping to get the car park at Bedlam Lane, Chicheley enlarged - twice

*Getting speed limits put in through Filgrave, Gayhurst and Lathbury

*Getting the footpath repaired alongside the Folly Lane housing at North Crawley

*Introduced safety measures on the A509 including speed limits and overtaking control

*Keeping our bridleways as dedicated paths for horses & walkers (instead of opening them up for 4-wheel drive vehicles to churn up)
