Under Liberal Democrat control Milton Keynes Council has encouraged and enabled our local village schools to survive and prosper and to improve standards. This is in contrast to when education in our villages was controlled by Conservative Bucks County Council. They closed two of our village schools, Filgrave School, (which is now a successful private operation) and Moulsoe Church of England school.

Liberal Democrats, in contrast, have kept our smallest village church schools alive by encouraging school partnerships in Emberton, North Crawley and Stoke Goldington.

The Lib Dem manifesto says 'We will continue to support small village schools.' Sam Potts said "I am pleased that we have kept our promises. And we have appointed a specialist adviser to support the heads and staff of our small village schools."

Sam went to North Crawley Church of England First School and now is a governor there and also at Tickford Park (the new school in Newport Pagnell formed from Riverside and Lovat Schools. Pat Seymour remains a governor at Sherington School.
