Mark Hunter has been declared as the new Member of Parliament for Cheadle with a majority of 3,657. Mark is delighted to have been elected to succeed local favourite Patsy Calton. The Conservative candidate fell to a humiliating third successive defeat in Cheadle and Labour lost their deposit with less than 5% of the vote.

Sam Potts said:

Patsy Carlton was a great MP she was one of those people you could just trust. I think her successor Mark will have a hard act to follow but he too will make a great MP. It is very telly that the Conservatives have failed to win this seat back and also telling that Labour, the Party that is meant to be the Government can not even hold its deposit in a by-election.
